Matthew 5:16
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
I am truly amazed how God works in our lives and how He speaks to us. Sometimes its dramatic, yet other times it is quite ordinary. God may whisper to us while we drive, make dinner or influence our thoughts as we go about our routine lives. Sometimes he has to knock and ask to come in. Other times he may have to bring about a storm. Then other times, he puts a special person in our path.
As a young girl in Sunday School I learned about the good Samaritan. A person who helps a stranger, expecting nothing in return. Larina of Dollar Graphics Depot turned that parable into reality today.
As you read in an previous post, Larina so graciously allowed us to use a graphic from her shop on the Team Brandon shirts. As if that wasn’t sweet enough, her newsletter informed me that she is having her very own Team Brandon fundraiser. I will admit my eyes filled with tears as I read along.
Often we tell people that we’ll be praying for them, to call if they need anything, or we’re here if they need us. I know for me the words can come automatically, it’s just the southern way. Sadly that is as far as it gets most times — a kind word and a passing thought. However, Larina is doing more. She is answering God’s call. She is taking action. She is letting her light shine!
She, along with the artist Alice Smith, have generously created a beautiful, custom made digital graphic kit in honor of Brandon — Leukemia Awareness - Team Brandon. They are giving 100% of the proceeds to "Team Brandon." These beautiful ladies are a witness to the awesome God we serve.
Let’s turn this awe-inspiring gift into an incredible drive for the Hellgren family. Visit Dollar Graphics Depot and purchase Leukemia Awareness - Team Brandon for only $3. This graphic set is not only for digital scrapers, but for anyone who wants to turn ordinary into cuteness! Larina has many creative ideas on how to get the most from digital graphics!
I personally want to say a humongous thank you to Larina and Alice for their generosity and sharing their light with the world!
What can you do? Let yOuR Light sHiNe…

This brought tears to my eyes. Not tears of sadness but tears of joy, to know that there are such wonderful people in this world willing to help a family they do not know. God is good!
ReplyDeleteI have come to count Larina as a friend! She is a super witness for our God! He is smiling down on his daughter with pride!
